Today I’m starting a new category in my blog where I’ll post a video with the best song that I’ve listened to in Last.fm during the week. I want to post the video every Friday. I think that Friday is a good day to post it as it is the end of the week and we are all getting ready to relax for the weekend.
"Careless Whisper" by Tamia
The first post goes to a song called “Careless Whisper” that was originally performed by Wham and George Michael, but I really liked the way that Tamia sings this song. Tamia was born in Windsor, Ontario (Canada) in 1975 and she is a Rhythm Blues and Soul singer. According to her profile in Last.fm she is married to the NBA basketball player Grant Hill and “is noted for her spinto mezzo-soprano, a rangy three octaves, capable of both dark contralto depths and angelic soprano highs.”
I had never heard of Tamia before, so that’s why I like listening music in Last.fm, I always discover a new singer or at least, know who is singing a song that I heard somewhere else and that I didn’t know their name.
