Only in America: First African-American for President of the United States

obamatime This is one of those moments that make history. I don’t think I will ever forget and I’m very happy for being a witness of a moment like this. Congratulations to the American people for such a great electoral process.

I also want to recognize the greatness of Senator McCain for accepting people’s will and the results of the election, this gesture will give credibility to the electoral process itself and will help the new government start strong in January 2009. This is great as the last thing the world needs is a weak government with a lack of credibility. I hope the United States can retake the leadership and respect among the nations of the world, I guess it is no secret the damage that Bush’s government caused to the image of the United States.

This moment sets a milestone in history as we are seeing the sunset of a whole generation but it is start of a new one. I hope this new age brings hope and prosperity not only to the U.S. but to the rest of the world as well. I think the new generation that voted for Senator Barak Obama represents a generation that don’t see race as a primary factor and also people that want to overcome the fear that the population has been through during the past 8 years, such fear turned out to be useless as Osama bin Laden is still at large, and I’m not very sure that the U.S. are much more secure than what they were 8 years ago.

Anyway, congratulations again to the American People!
