Hi, my name is Hector Sanchez and I am from Guadalajara, Mexico. This is my first WordPress blog and this is also my first post.
I started in Internet Marketing and doing business online in 2004, when I started an online store called My-dog-supplies.com, this store was created with Yahoo. After that, I stumbled upon Joomla and changed my online store to Joomla. Then, I realized that running an online store wasn’t that easy, and I decided to look at creating informational websites in order to gain some Google Adsense Revenue.
Up until then, Joomla was my top CMS and I became their number 1 fan. Then it occurred to me to start blogging in Joomla but I found that even though you can blog in Joomla, it doesn’t have all the great features that WordPress offers. So everything became really clear, Joomla is great for Portal, News, Community and Online Stores, but if you are talking about Blogging, there is only one system which is WordPress. Both CMS are really great, I love them, but it depends of what you want to do.
So thanks for taking the time for reading my first, as you can see I still need to make some changes but I hope I can fix them very soon.
UPDATE: All the posts that you see on this blog, dated prior September 2007, were created in Joomla, it’s just that I imported them into Wordpress to keep track of what I blogged when using Joomla. In reality, this post you are reading is the first one created with Wordpress.
